F.Y.R.O.M   (MACEDONIA) 

F.Y.R.O.M, which is also called the Republic of Macedonia and the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, is a Southeastern Europe country. It is located on the Balkan peninsula, yet is landlocked by bordering countries of Bulgaria on the East, Greece on the South, Albania on the West, and Kosovo and Serbia on the North.
Macedonia gained recognition in the United Nations in the early part of 1993, under the provision that they be called by a different name, which has been abbreviated FYROM. This provision may or may not become permanent pending an agreement with Greece.

Although Macedonia is a relatively small country, it has over 50 artificial and natural lakes, 16 mountains with high altitudes, and a temperate climate which lends to the tourism industry.
