Ireland is located in the Northwestern portion of Europe. Ireland proper is a modernized, sovereign state which occupies the majority of the Ireland island. The Northern part of Ireland island is officially a part of the United Kingdom. The Atlantic Ocean lies at the Western border of Ireland, the Celtic and Irish Seas are to the East, and to the South and Southeast is St. George's Channel. Officially, the Republic of Ireland describes the state, but Ireland is its proper name.

Ireland is an economically free and economically prosperous country. Its residents enjoy a high quality of life, are well educated, enjoy numerous civil rights, political, press, and economic freedoms. It is one of the few states in the entire world which is self sustaining. Because of these accomplishments and promising lifestyle, immigrants are attracted to the region.
