As of September 2005, the number of web users in Denmark has grown to a great amount of 69.2%. People in Denmark have been using the web pretty extensively. They do not only use the web for work, but also for searching random information. This great use for the web made them come up with their local Danish search engine called, Hvem Hvor. Another popular search engine for families would be Edderkoppen. Yahoo, Google and Altavista are also some very popular sites the Danish visit. This is a result of the Danish being very well versed with how the web works. Denmark has created a very excellent infrastructure for broadband services. Because of this, they have one of the best broadband services in Europe. Many people, especially those in businesses, are able to make use of the web as one of their major forms of communication would be through electronic mail or email. This is easier for the Danish as the language they use for the email would be English making it easier to communicate with people. Because of the accessibility to the web, the Danish are able to make use of the internet for everything, from school work to business. Almost every household would have internet at their fingertips. The same goes for offices as people predominantly make the use of the web to market their product and communicate with other people, even within the office. Some of the most popular websites in Denmark would be http://www.dandomain.dk, http://www.adgangforalle.dk and http://www.danseek.dk. As the country is one of the more advanced countries, it could be seen from these sites that the Danish do rely on the internet for a lot of information and communication.
